5 Islands occurs as community by owning the people of 260 placed on the in the north shore of the Minas Basin, home of the large tides in the world. These are known as, logically, when 5 little islands - Moose, Diamond, Long, Egg, & Pinnacle - placed upright off a coast.

Native Mi'kmaq legend has it that the five islands were created when their god Glooscap threw the land that forms the islands from his hand into the bay where they are located.

Lobster and clam fishing are two local sources of income around 5 Islands. 5 Islands got the lighthouse in operation from 1914 to 1993.

Sand Point Beach Campground
Offers 94 campsites on a beach on the Glooscap Trail. Lists facilities, attractions, location, seasonal information, rates and booking contact. Pets welcome.

Five Islands Provincial Park
